Application Process

Thank you for applying for the NC Institute for Spiritual Direction and Formation’s 2 year training program. Please make sure you have read all about our program before applying. Completing the application requires a number of steps. The Application process is open until capacity met.

Step One – Application

Step Two – Application Fee – There is a $100 non-refundable application fee required with each application.

 If paying by check, make check payable to NC Institute for Spiritual Direction and Formation. Mail the check to: 

If paying by credit/debit card,  PAY ONLINE   You will be directed to our Stripe payment page to complete this transaction. You will be charged a processing fee for this convenience.

Step Three – Letters of Recommendation. We prefer to have the letters submitted online. Please forward this link to all three people who will submit your letters. https://ncspiritualdirection.org/letter-of-recommendation/

Step Four – Submit your summary of Sacred Companions by David Benner. Please ensure your name is on each page of the summary and use PDF format.

Step Five – Confirmation of Spiritual Direction. Please forward this link to your Spiritual Director to complete on your behalf. https://ncspiritualdirection.org/spiritual-direction-confirmation/

You will be notified once all parts of your application have been received. Interviews will be scheduled starting in November 2025.
